Bike around Lake Geneva

Perhaps you see it often. But have you ever imagined doing the full tour of Lake Geneva by bike?!

Some days it seems vast like an ocean, and other days as if the opposite bank is just a stone’s throw away. Lake Geneva (Lac Léman in French) is in fact the largest natural lake in Western Europe. Its dramatic setting, between the stunning French Alps to the south and the diverse Jura to the north, make this a spectacular trip, and hard to beat for a weekend of scenic cycling! Now that you think about it, can you even imagine NOT doing this ultimate challenge when living in or visiting Geneva?

With another picture postcard at every turn of the eye, we believe that the Lake Geneva circuit is best enjoyed over two or three days. This gives us time to appreciate the stunning views and some of the local attractions, as well as to socialise with fellow cyclists. We will maintain a relaxed pace and take our time to enjoy a luxury picnic lunch each day!

We offer three different weekend formats: Which trip is for me?

# If you do not cycle regularly, and prefer a more leisurely pace, we recommend you join the Léman Relaxed Explorer .

# If you have a fair bit of training in the legs but enjoy a relaxed pace, we recommend you join the Léman Original Discovery .

# If you are pretty fit, used to long periods sitting in a saddle, and prepared to take on the challenge of cycling around 100km in a day, join our 2 day Léman Challenge .

Level of difficulty
The route for all options is the same but the pace and distance covered per day varies. It is more or less flat which makes this circuit amenable to most active people with just a bit of training. There are a few optional short hills for those seeking a bit more of a challenge!

What you carry
On all trips you will only carry minimal equipment – a jacket, camera, water and some snacks. Your luggage will be transported to the hotels. Our support vehicle also carries our picnic lunches, as well as plenty of snacks and drinks, and meets us regularly for well-needed refreshments.
